This inductive proximity switch also known as a contactless proximity switch, is an ideal electronic proximity sensor.
1. The Inductive proximity switches consist of three main components: oscillator, switching circuit and amplified output circuit. The oscillator produces an alternating magnetic field. As the metal target approaches this magnetic field and reaches an inductive distance, eddy currents are generated within the metal target, causing oscillatory attenuation to the point of stopping. The oscillation and deactivation changes of the oscillator are processed and converted into switching signals by the post-stage amplification circuit, which triggers the drive control device, thus achieving the non-contact detection purpose.
